Sylvia Rosenberg

Sylvia Rosenberg has performed extensively throughout the US and Europe with major orchestra including the Chicago, National and London Symphonies, the Royal and Stockholm Philharmonics, The Concertgebouw, Philharmonia, Berlin Radio and all the BBC Orchestras. Her Festival appearances include Edinburgh, Bath, Santa Fe Chamber, Banff and Sarasota.

She has a distinguished reputation as a teacher, and is Professor of Violin at Indiana University and Manhattan School of Music. She has taught at the Royal College of Music, University of Surrey , Eastman School, Peabody Conservatory and has been an Aspen faculty member since 1980. She gives frequent masterclasses at Southern Methodist University, Oberlin College, New England Conservatory, San Francisco Conservatory, University of Southern California, Mcgill University, Jerusalem Music Centre, Royal Conservatory of the Hague, Royal Danish Conservatory, Savonlinna Festival, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Academy and Guildhall School of Music.

She is often heard on the BBC and recently appeared with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
